There’s no public catalogue on put.io, and members can’t browse each other’s files.
Reporting a copyright issue
If you believe a file on put.io infringes a copyright you own or represent, email copyright@put.io.
Please tell us:
- which work you own or represent;
- the share link, or other details that let us find the file;
- how you came across it, for example where the share link was posted;
- your name and email address;
- whether you’re the rightsholder or authorised to act for them;
- why you believe, in good faith, that the use isn’t authorised by the rightsholder or the law;
- that the information in your report is accurate and complete, to the best of your knowledge.
We may ask you to clarify something or send more information.
How we respond
We don’t choose the files members store, and we don’t routinely review them or monitor them for copyright infringement. A file being on put.io doesn’t mean we’ve seen, checked or approved it. We may investigate and act when we get a specific enough report, learn of a violation some other way, need to protect put.io, or are required to by law.
We review every report. Depending on the circumstances, we may remove files, limit or suspend access, or close accounts, as our Terms allow. Repeated or serious infringement can lead to account closure.
When the law requires it, we’ll tell you what we did and why, and how you can challenge it, unless the law stops us sharing that information.
A copyright report isn’t enough, on its own, to get a member’s identity or files. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy policy.
Think we made a mistake?
If we’ve removed your files, limited or suspended your access, or closed your account over a copyright issue, you can ask us to take another look. Email copyright@put.io and tell us what happened and why you think we got it wrong. We’ll review the decision, though we can’t promise to restore your files or account.
